College
2004-2008: James played
three seasons at Miami (Florida) and appeared in 32 games primarily on
offence as a backup fullback but also saw limited duty on defence as a
linebacker.
In 2007, he transferred to Louisville and to a permanent position on the defensive side of the ball after sitting out a year.
During
his final year of eligibility in 2008, James appeared in 10 games for
the Cardinals recording 10 tackles, one interception and a punt return
for 26 yards.
Personal
James resides in Hollywood, Florida and
divides his time between preparing for the football season and working
for his foundation: ARK (helping others through Acts of Random
Kindness). The youngest of six siblings, he has been playing football
from the age of six. He lists his mom as his biggest fan and his first
TD at Miami as his lasting football memory to date.
When not catching up on reruns of My Wife and Kids you will find him listening to R & B or leafing through his favourite book The Purpose of a Driven Life.
To stay in shape between football opportunities, James turned to
professional boxing at one point and honed his skills with former world
champions Michael Moorer and Oliver McCall.
